Solar P1 Pro

Before I review the P1 Pro , i would just like t say a few things regarding delivery. I ordered my P1 Pro on the 24th August, but did not get delivery until the 14th October!!! whenI looked online at the Solar website it said that this item was available . I placed my order and subsequently recieved an email confirming my order and stating that all orders would be sent out within 24 hours of the order being received. By Friday the 30th of August I had not received my order or any contact with Solar. I emailed Solar to ask where my order wsa and this was their reply, “We are expecting the restock to arrive by 20th September, We were expecting our restock to arrive sooner, but due to the conflict happening overseas it has caused our freight to change routs, which has made our restock to move up by 2-3 weeks”. I felt out of courtesy Solar should have informed me of this problem when I placed my order. When I did not recieve my order by this date, I contacted Solar again a number of times and on each occasion I was given a variety of reasons why my order had not been delivered. These reasons may have been genuine , I don’t know. So my advice to anyone wanting to buy anything from Solar , is to contact them and make sure the product is available before they place their order.
Now the scooter review now that I have finally got it. Extremely well made , robust and looks good. the power from the two moters is excellent. I use this scooter to excersize my two red settters along rough river banks and remote footpaths. I’m sure this machine will handle this well. The brakes are excellent as are. the 11 inch Tyers, which are wide and have deep off road tread.The battery life is excellent, as are the brakes, lights and horn. It also has a new control panel which is excellent and also a number of very good safety features. the suspension is more than adequate and copes with a variety of surfaces effectively. It folds up well , once the seat is removed.
On the negative side, it is very heavy. the spec says 38 kilos approx. I’d say it was somewhat heavier than that. Thiis is not a criticism , but is definitely heavier than I would have liked. My fault I should have checked the spec. and unfortunately there is a price to pay for all the good things about the scooter. The seat- well. I’m 74 and unfortunately I have to have a seat in order to ride this safely. the seat supplied was unbelievably uncomfortable. Same shape as a racing bbike seat, long and thin, it had no noticeable padding , was;nt sprung and had no pneumatic pole, which was what I was used to on my previouse scooter. the ride was unbelievably uncomfortable . Fortunately the seat and post from my scooter fitter the this one and the ride now is far more comfortable. Lastly the the footboard may be wide, but for me the distance from the handlebars to the seat is too short, and makes getting on and off the scooter difficult, extremely difficult with the saddle supplied. I the saddle pos was a few inches further back, this would be much better.
Summing up despite the problems I mentioned, I am vary pleased with the scooters performance and it’s ability to cope with difficult conditions and I am still please I made this purchase.

I as a bit worried buying an expensive scooter online bur I needn't have been concerned as when asking questions, I had very, very quick replies and when I got the P1Pro scooter... Wow!
Also, there was a small part missing from the package and I emailed them on day 1 and I received the missing item the next afternoon. Brilliant service.

I previously had the P1 pro original and it was amazing and I didn't think it could get much better until I bought this one. The new rubber deck, display, twist throttle and much more are really new exciting features to try out. I can confirm that this is an incredible scooter on performance alone. Really happy with my purchase.

I have to say I am in love with my scooter it puts a smile in my face everyday even before I get on it. I previously had the P1 2.0 and moving up to this is a real night and day difference and so glad the solar team brought this version to the UK so thanks again. I now have 435 miles since mid July and loved every moment of it the upgrades from the previous are amazing from the screen to the brake's even the front suspension is more cush, now been a speed demon I thought I was ready for the top speed but after riding you find it's not about the top speed it's how it gets to that speed. Gear 3 on sport has ridiculous torque and takes awhile to get used to that first jolt but it is one hell of a machine traffic is a myth on this and the lights with the daytime led is just a great touch as not many other brand's offer that quality of build. So thanks again solar also do not take the bad experience reviews as gold as every scooter is different and now this been my second scooter in 2 years from solar I have NEVER had a issue with customer service always sorted same day via email,and always give great tips on how to further manage your scooter HAPPY P1 PRO DRIVER OUT 🛴💨💨💨😎

I've had the Solar P1 Pro for ten months, no issues with the battery, controllers or the motors whatsoever, but there have been hardware issues in which Solar helped me a lot.

I had the handlebars spin so much so they almost rotated 360 degrees without steering the wheel, but I managed to fix it with the new handlebar set that Solar sent me for free. I also had an issue with the twist throttle, with it getting stuck, but Solar also provided a replacement for free. Another problem I had was a problem where the front light bracket broke, but that was an easy welding fix at a local car repair shop.

Solar's customer Support has been phenomenal, with them responding very quickly and resolving any issue or question I had about the scooter. The scooter itself runs great, hitting 50 mph and reaching an astonishing range of 45-50 miles per charge as it claims.

I've ridden the scooter for a total of 1,200 miles with me only having to change the rear tire so far, changing both the front and the rear brake pads once and having to bleed both of the brakes once plus all the problems I've mentioned above.

I also added "TRON" lights to my scooter at a local shop, which costed me more than getting the lights added before the purchase on the website. I also upgraded to more stable handlebars in case the old problem would return.

Overall, I'd give the scooter 4,5 stars, I am very pleased with the scooter apart from the minor issues I had, and I hope to be able to use it with minimal issues going forward.
