FIRST LOOK! Verified 0-60mph Launch for E-Clipse Race Edition
We recently took out our Solar E-Clipse Race Edition to the LA Riverbed on a beautiful sunny December morning to finally GPS verify the 0-60mph and top speed.
Using the 'Draggie' a device specifically designed for capturing highly accurate drag times for all vehicles utilising precise GPS location, we began the test and the results are in!
For some context, here are the specific details of the bike, rider and the surroundings during testing:
Bike at the time of testing:
- Fully Charged (96%)
- Tyres at Max Recommended PSI
- Chain Tightened to Manufacturer spec
- Zero aftermarket upgrades or software
- Completely Stock
Rider at the time of testing:
- Weight 76KG (167.5lbs)
- Height 5' 9"
- Regular loose clothing (hoodie, trousers, helmet etc)
Environment at the time of testing:
- Flat ground (concrete)
- Zero incline / decline
- 24 Degrees Celsius (75.2 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Zero wind in either direction
Result:
Our best result was a 0-60mph time of just 11.06 seconds. With a top speed maxing out at 66mph. Fully GPS verified.
